Arts Inspire! Video Link

Chamber families, thanks for your patience while we all waited for a link to the video recording of the Arts Inspire! event your students participated in.  You can access the video recording HERE.

Just a heads up...the audio quality of the orchestra's performance is NOT great.  I'm pretty disappointed about that, but rest assured that it sounded MUCH better live.  I really didn't pay attention to mic placement, etc. during the rehearsal or the event since there was so much else to pay attention to, so I can't really explain why we sound like we are in a tin box, but it is what it is at this point.

Regardless, we are super proud of the work your students did and we received plenty of compliments afterwards!

Orchestra T-shirts and Hoodies

T-shirts and hoodies were distributed in class this week.  All spirit shirt orders should have been distributed as well.  If you placed an order for a spirit shirt and have not received it, please reach out to Mr. Eaton.

If your student did NOT receive their shirt or hoodie please check to make sure you have paid the orchestra program fee on Membership Toolkit.  Once we have confirmation that the fee has been paid we will distribute the shirt/hoodie to your student.

10th Grade Day @ Plano Senior

Yesterday Clark Orchestra sophomores traveled to Plano Senior to enjoy a recruiting experience and side-by-side rehearsal with Senior High orchestra students.  It was a lot of fun and your students did a great job of representing Clark Orchestra!  Please enjoy the video of their performance of a piece they learned in less than an hour by clicking HERE!

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunity (Cat Chow)

We are still waiting on some other final details, but we wanted to put this information on your radar for any parents who might be interested in volunteering/helping out.

The Fall Cat Chow (a "stay day" type event during lunch where the PTSA hosts food trucks, etc. for students during the lunch periods) is scheduled for Friday, November 15th.

This is a fun event for students and a great fundraising opportunity for the PTSA and participating Booster Clubs (which includes us!).  In order to earn a share of the proceeds from the event we will need to provide a minimum of 5 parent volunteers for each of 2 shifts that day.  The first shift will be approximately 10am-12pm and the second will be approximately 12pm-2pm.

If you think you might be available to help out with this please put that date on your calendar!  We will share more information once we receive it from the PTSA.

Also, if you aren't able to volunteer your time, each participating Booster Club will be asked to donate a set amount of bottled drinks and/or snacks.  We will share that info as well as soon as we get it and would greatly appreciate any donations you might be willing to make.

Booster Club Needs

Thank you to the parents that have already expressed interest in helping out with this year's Booster Club!  The Booster Club is currently still in need of parents to volunteer and fill the following positions:

  • Co-Treasurer
  • 10th Grade Parent Representative

The simple truth is that our Booster Club can NOT function without these vital board member/volunteers.  Without the Clark Orchestra Boosters, and the generous time and energy given by Clark Orchestra parents your student's orchestra education will be definitively less complete.

Students don't just learn to play an instrument in orchestra, they learn many life skills including:

  • Time management
  • Determination
  • Curiosity
  • Collaboration and teamwork
  • Grit

PLEASE consider volunteering today!

If you are interested in volunteering please fill out this google form: https://tinyurl.com/corchbooster2425.  Even if you aren't able to volunteer, please take a moment to fill out the form so that the booster club can gauge interest in a parent/family t-shirt offering.
